"I can't believe I found another body, and one of my closest friends was arrested for the murder. How can this be happening again?
Clara Colby has finally settled into her role as owner of the Burton Grayson Memorial Animal Shelter. Excitement builds as Clara and her board members plan their first adoption event at the grand opening of Kelly’s Kars, with Clara’s father lending his motorhome to help draw attention to the event.
During the event, tensions flare between Judy Simpson, the newest board member, and Veronica Clarke, Clara’s trusted friend, over the affections of the car dealership’s owner. Emotions boil over, and the two women end up brawling with the news media recording the spectacle. Adding to the chaos, Clara’s identical twin, CeCe, disappears with an unknown man, leaving Clara and their mother anxious for the remainder of the day.
That evening, Clara realizes she left her phone, laptop, and her parents’ motorhome keys inside the RV. She rushes back to Kelly’s Kars with her dog to retrieve them, only to find Veronica with blood on her hands and Judy’s dead body behind the motorhome.
Despite Veronica’s pleas of innocence, an eyewitness emerges, leading to her arrest for murder. Determined to clear Veronica’s name, Clara launches her own investigation, only to get tangled up in an unforeseen crime that puts her own life in jeopardy.
