About Nancy Garner

Nancy Garner is an independent author who writes mysteries filled with small towns, complicated families, loyal friendships, four-legged characters, and enough danger to keep everyone on their toes.
Her Clara Colby Mystery Series began with Killer at the Kennel, introducing readers to Clara Colby, a widowed mother whose unexpected inheritance brings her to rural Wisconsin, an overcrowded animal shelter, and a murder that turns her family's life upside down. The series continues with Luck of the Irish Setter, Sticks and Bones, and The Cat House, with more Clara Colby mysteries to come.
Nancy has always been drawn to stories about ordinary people facing extraordinary circumstances. Her books combine mystery and suspense with the relationships that matter most—family, friendship, love, loyalty, and the animals that somehow become part of the family.
Although mysteries are a particular favorite, Nancy's imagination doesn't stay in one place for very long. Future projects include the 1960s-set Mitzy Reynolds mysteries, along with more character-driven fiction. She also writes as N. Gail Garner for stories outside her Nancy Garner mystery line.
Nancy is an independent author and publisher through Lavender & Lilac Press. When she isn't writing, editing, designing book covers, working on her website, or wondering how one author acquired quite so many works in progress, she's probably already thinking about the next story.
